My Pen Name

Marjorie R. Shrode is a pen name. I started publishing while still working full-time as a public school teacher. I decided I didn’t need the school district coming down on my for writing steamy romance, so I came up with this pen name.

Marjorie comes from my paternal grandma. That’s Grandma Marj over there to the right.

Shrode is my maternal grandmother’s maiden name. Shrode. There she is to the left.

The middle initial R has ties to both sides of the family. So, there you have it: the history of my pen name.
